President's Message
A Message from the President
Welcome to the official website of the Monmouth County Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. I am honored to serve as president of our small, but mighty chapter of talented, dedicated and college-educated women who strive for the advancement of the residents of Monmouth and Ocean Counties in the great Garden State.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private non-profit organization founded on January 13, 1913 by 22 revered, college women on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. Our organization is committed to public service with a primary focus on the Black community and to the constructive development of its more than 300,000 members.
Since MCAC’s chartering on June 24, 1967, we have worked tirelessly to provide impactful programs and meaningful partnership that align with the sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health and Political Awareness and Involvement.
It is an absolute privilege to serve as the 22nd President of this dynamic chapter, where we foster strong bonds of our intergenerational sisterhood, cultivate intellectual growth through scholarship, and engage in meaningful service that fosters positive transformation.
For sorors who are searching for a chapter home, we are your destination! If you are a community member or strategic partner, please continue to support our public events so that we can continue the legacy and vision of our illustrious Founders.
Serving with Excellence to Elevate Everything Delta!
Chanta L. Jackson, President.
